You can say I was quite young when I began riding horses…I was 3 years old. I grew up on the circuit, showing at Fox Lea, HITS Ocala, and Wellington International.
While in college at Auburn University, I was the Team Captain and MVP for the IHSA team. After graduating Cum Laude with a Business Management degree and a minor in Entrepreneurship and Family Business, I went to work for Beanie Cone in Olive Branch, MS, where I learned the nuances of the equine industry and how to manage a large-scale lesson, sales, and showing farm. In 2024, I moved to Madison, MS, where I was Head Trainer at Southern Traditions Farm, offering a boutique individualized show program focused on developing high-quality Hunters, Jumpers, and Equitation horses for both lease and sale.
In addition to coaching in the IHSA, IEA, and other rated circuits, I had a great 2024, showing in 1.0 and 1.10 Jumpers, 3’3 and 3’6 Performance Hunters, 3’ USHJA Hunters, and 3’ and 3’3 Green Hunters, finishing with top 12 placings in all but one national derby.
I am thrilled to be a member of the Shore Acres Farm team. I have known Janie and Mike for nearly a decade, and we share the same mindset: “It is all about the horse.” For me, every horse deserves the best program, and it is the trainer’s responsibility to help every rider and horse reach their full potential at whatever level they wish to achieve.
